NAITEC brings together 50 professionals to discuss the industry’s green and digital transition
Nearly 50 professionals from different productive sectors gathered today at the headquarters of the NAITEC technology centre in Noáin to attend the first edition of Smart Green Industry, an initiative to promote and raise awareness of the importance of technology in industrial transformation. With a focus on R&D, the event provided a comprehensive overview of the future of industry and the opportunities offered by digital innovation and the green transition.
Estibalitz Erauzquin, Managing Director of NAITEC, stressed the importance of companies integrating digital technologies and sustainability into their strategies. ‘We have entered the era of digital eco-efficiency and there is no turning back due to the regulatory changes coming from Europe, the climate crisis and the socio-economic context. All companies, regardless of their sector or size, will be forced to be digital and sustainable in order to guarantee their success in the medium and long term’.
Navarre’s industry is aware of the double digital and environmental transition. However, when it comes to translating this transformation into day-to-day operations, doubts arise. Our role as a technology centre is to help companies along this path by implementing transformative but feasible technologies,” added Erauzquin.
Among the services offered by NAITEC to industry, the most recurrent are IoT solutions, product servitisation through artificial intelligence and process prediction, not to mention cybersecurity. And with the growing concern for sustainability, there is a growing demand for eco-design services, life cycle analysis, advanced materials and energy efficiency.
Smart Green Industry 2024 featured presentations from NAITEC’s team of experts and two guest speakers: Eduardo Azanza, co-founder and CEO of das-Nano and Veridas, and Juan Albéniz, CEO of M.Torres.
In addition, technical managers from NAITEC presented technological solutions for digital transformation and sustainable impact, based on developments for different industrial applications that have become real success stories.
At the end of the day, the participants visited NAITEC’s new Functional Additive Manufacturing and Composites Laboratories, where they were able to learn about the R&D work in 2D and 3D electronic printing and composites for different sectors and applications.
